Strange Angel

Karl recurs as General James Braxton opposite Rupert Friend, Jack Reynor and Bella Heathcote in Strange Angel, CBS All Access original drama series from Ridley Scott’s Scott Free Productions and CBS TV Studios. Created by Mark Heyman based on George Pendle’s book of the same name, 1930s-set Strange Angel is inspired by the real-life story of Jack Parsons (Reynor) and explores the dramatic intersection between genius and madness, science and science fiction. Makinen will play General Braxton. A straight shooting member of the greatest generation, General Braxton works for the Army Air Corps and becomes increasingly interested in Jack and Richard’s nascent rocketry project, an interest that will change the trajectory of all their lives.
